Heather Locklear Pleads No Contest to Reckless Driving

Los Angeles - A celebrity news reporter had called into 911 when they claimed to have seen Heather Locklear driving in a way that would make you think maybe she was drunk in September. She was pulled over by police and charged with driving under the influence of prescription medication. When the police found her she was blocking a traffic lane in Montecito, California.

On January 2, Ms. Locklear pleaded no contest as part of a plea bargain regarding these charges. She did not appear at the court date, so her attorney entered her plea for her. In return, the charges were dismissed, however as part of her plea deal she was handed down 3 years of informal probation, ordered to pay a $700 fine and take and complete a driving safety class that is 12 hours total.

Heather, in 2008, went to a rehab facility for depression and anxiety treatment. This was after divorcing her husband of 11 years, Richie Sambora, the guitarist for Jon Bon Jovi. They share a daughter together, her name is Ava.

Heather Locklear first became famous in her role in the soap opera Dynasty as Sammy Jo Dean Carrington. She has also played in Spin City and Melrose Place.
